Once upon a time…

I had a mentor who shared that to be a ceremonialist, one must amass a wisdom basket of at least 100 stories, 100 rituals and gestures, 100 songs, and 100 symbols and talismans.

I took his words to heart a decade ago and throughout the years, have diligently been adding to my basket of wisdom, becoming an unabashed poetry whisperer, ritualist, and teaching practitioner. I remain grateful to each couple, family, community, initiate, and decedent whose journey has apprenticed me to this pathway.

Little by little, as I would build my practice and share my wares and insights, those around me began to take note. Friends, friends of friends, strangers, together with newbie and long-time colleagues began approaching me for ritual help with their life moment or vocational conundrum. And that’s not a surprise. As a culture, we’re hungry to add deeper meaning and infuse unique touches to our moments of life, love, loss, and longing.

For years, I dispensed this wisdom freely, reluctant to charge for my creative gifts and expert status, even as I had just spent the previous two decades working as a marketing consultant, writer, and event planner. In essence, opportunity was knocking and I was saying, no thank you.

And then suddenly the knocks upon my digital door became more insistent and frequent, as though the universe herself was asking that I finally awaken to my life’s calling with integrity and a spirit of reciprocity. To quote Mary Oliver, “one day you finally knew what you had to do,” which is to say, I now offer my consultative services on a fee-for-service basis.

No matter the conundrum, I’m here to work in concert with you to add meaning, value, inspiration, creative vision, and a fresh approach to whatever special moment you’re cooking up.  

My consulting rates are:

• $75.00 per 30-minute Zoom session, payable via Venmo or Zelle.
• $150.00 per 60-minute Zoom session for wedding and funeral ceremonial design consulting, should you be tasked with the honor of officiating a wedding or holding space for a Celebration of Life.
• I charge an additional $125.00 should you wish for me to send you a tailored packet of reading and/or ritual gestures to pair with your ceremonial moment.

In addition to hourly sessions, I also:

• craft and lead healing ceremonies & home blessings via Zoom (starting at $250.00).
• consult regarding DIY ceremonies (scattering of ashes, milestone events, end-of-life vigils, etc.).
• offer wedding ceremony writing and coaching packages to couples who would like a friend or family member to officiate.
